Election for new leadership of NRNA today

Kathmandu. Elections are being held today for the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). Online voting has been opened for Nepalis abroad since last night.
According to the Election Committee, out of 4,227 representatives, almost 900 representatives will vote from Nepal. The 11th Congress of NRNA will elect 74 officers of the International Coordinating Council, including the president, eight vice presidents including one woman and youth, one general secretary, six secretaries and a treasurer.
There is a provision to vote online within twenty-four hours. For the representatives in Nepal, voting time is fixed from 10 am to 6 pm.
NRNA has 96 thousand organized members. There are 120 candidates for 74 posts in NRNA.
Although four people have registered their candidacy for the post of president, Ravina Thapa has announced that she has withdrawn her candidacy in support of another candidate for the post of president, Mahesh Kumar Shrestha
Now there is competition between Badri KC, Mahesh Shrestha and RK (Rajendra Kumar) Sharma for the post of President. Candidates for the president are competing in the election by forming a panel of three.
