A decline in Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves
Islamism. Pakistan’s State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Thursday that its foreign exchange reserves decreased by 74 million US dollars.
According to the SBP, the total foreign exchange reserves of the bank decreased to about eight billion dollars by April 19. “This decrease is due to the payment of external debt,” according to the statement issued by the SBP.
The total foreign reserves of commercial banks are five billion 300 million US dollars. According to the bank, Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves are around $13.3 billion.
