Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has claimed that Chinese President Xi Jinping has said he will help the US open the Strait of Hormuz.

During the meeting, he said, Chinese President Xi pledged not to send military equipment to help Iran in a war against the United States and Israel. Speaking on Fox News’ “Hannity” program after the two leaders met in Beijing, Trump said, “He said China will not provide military equipment to Iran in this (US-Iran) war.”

Trump added, “He wants to see the Strait of Hormuz open. He said, ‘If I can help in any way, I’m ready to help.’” Trump arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for a three-day visit and is returning to the United States today.
