Deposits in banks and financial institutions decreased by 1 trillion 33 billion 24 million
In the same period of the previous year, such deposits decreased by 1.77 billion (2.0 percent).
Kathmandu. In the first month of the current fiscal year 2080/81, the deposits in banks and financial institutions have decreased by 1 trillion 33 billion 24 billion.
Based on the data of the first month of 2080/81 released by Nepal Rastra Bank on Sunday, according to the current economic and financial situation of the country, deposit mobilization has decreased by 2.3 percent in July. In the same period of the previous year, such deposits decreased by 1.77 billion (2.0 percent).
At the end of July of the current financial year, the share of current, savings and fixed deposits in the total deposits of banks and financial institutions is 5.0 percent, 26.7 percent and 61.3 percent respectively. In the same period of the previous year, this share was 7.2 percent, 26.9 percent and 58.8 percent respectively.
During the review period, the share of institutional deposits in the total deposits of banks and financial institutions was 35.2 percent. At the end of July 2079, the share of such deposits was 37.4 percent.
During the review period, loans from banks and financial institutions to the private sector decreased by 4.35 billion (0.1 percent). During the same period of the previous year, such loans decreased by 2 billion 31 crores (0.05 percent).
On an annual point-by-point basis, the credit flow from banks and financial institutions to the private sector increased by 3.8 percent at the end of July 2080.
